USA / Canada

In the United States the hearing protectors are sub-ject to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and are regulated according to the law 40 C.F.R. Part 211; Sept 28, 1979 Entitled:

Product Noise Labeling Subpart B Hearing Protective Devices.

The tests are being conducted according to the following ANSI-standards:

ANSI S3.19-1974 Methods for the Measuring of Real Ear Protection of Hearing Protectors and Physical Attenuation of Earmuffs

ANSI/ASA S12.6-2008 Methods for Measuring the Real Ear Attenuation of Hearing Protectors

ANSI/ASA S12.68-2007

Methods of Estimating Effective A-Weighted Sound Pressure Levels When Hearing Protectors are Worn

The characteristic data for the passive sound attenuation are, among others:

NRR (Noise Reduction Rating, ANSI S3.19-1974)

NRSA (Noise Reduction Level Statistics,

AN-SI/ASA S12.6 / ANSI/ASA S12.68)

Canada

Applicable CSA Standard: CSA Z94.2-02 (R2011) Entitled: Hearing Protection Devices - Performance, Selection, Care, and Use.

For sound attenuation, the measuring values according to ANSI S3.19 and S12.6 can be used, supplemented by a class definition.

Australia / New Zealand

The measurements are conducted according to the following standard for Australia/New Zealand:

AS/NZS 1270:2002

Acoustics—Hearing protectors

The relevant characteristic data for the passive sound attenuation is: SLC80 (Sound Level Conversion) and the classification in 5 categories.

our advantages:

  • HHUIIMO is the only Asian partner of German PZT GmbH (announcement number: 1974). We can obtain the full cooperation and support of the certification authority.

  •

  • PZT GmbH can not only provide customers with CE testing and certification, but also provide customers with ANSI, CSA, AS/NZS and a series of testing and certification work. (Hearing protection equipment also applies for CE ANSI CSA AN/NZS, there is no need to increase the number of samples, but the corresponding testing fee needs to be increased)

  •

  • HUIIMO (Shanghai) in addition to providing hearing protection equipment testing and certification services, but also to provide customers with a variety of forms of value-added services. For example: hearing protection equipment pre-testing services, hearing protection equipment testing certification technical documents production. All service charges are open and transparent.
